First things first!
Congratulations to Orlando on managing to rock the Batman outfit that is UK academic dress - thats an extremely bright red he's got on AND he's managed to wear a suit - something that was causing me concern (I had visions of him turning up in his normal attire.....)
Sonia and Colin look well proud, but its Sam's face I like the most - if thats not a big sister WTF moment, I don't know what is...
I think congratulations are in order for the Panty Mantis too, after literally years of ribbing from us jellus cowz about how she is singularly absent from any photos involving OB's family - she's finally struck gold - admittedly she had to get engaged to him and fly half way round the world to do it - but she's managed it - Well done PM, hopefully we'll all go away now eh??
one final thing - I'm glad this moment was shared with our happy couples fav. paparazzo Mr Big - I wonder if he will be doing the wedding shots!
Anyone notice how in most pics he is smiling but the ones with the PM he is not. And she lifted her leg in the family pic? Its not some photoshoot.

He does look cute with that cap and robe on. I must admit, the English graduation cap is much more cooler and fancier than our graduation caps. And the robes rock out! I would love an honorary degree, meanwhile, I have to pay for mine. Well, good on him, and dare I say that this family photo is dress rehearsal for the wedding day? Daddy Stone is very handsome.

ReplyDelete@simone - the cap and robe is traditional Doctoral colours - its the only grad robe (as far as I know) that has a uniform colour across all institutions, he must of been hot yesterday - a 3 piece suit and then an academic gown = rather a warm outfit!
He looks like a right pillock, just like most people wearing their full graduation cap and robes, etc.

I kinda warm to Sam too - she deserves some respect - she has one famous brother in the same career as her and the only time she's used to him to get ahead is in handing out leaflets at the edinburgh festival on the street
oh and Srenna, dingo always looks out of place....
